IN & AROUND VANCOUVER
June corresponds to the start of summer in the northern hemisphere, and Western Canada is a wonderful place to bring your family and friends. Among the many recreational activities available to you are:
- a tour of Vancouver and vicinity…famous for its wonderful restaurants, Stanley Park, etc.
- a trip to Whistler Mountain Resort (the 2010 Winter Olympics venue but a great summer area, as well)
- salmon fishing at a wilderness coastal lodge
- hiking and camping in the mountains
- a relaxing ferry ride though the beautiful Gulf Islands to Vancouver Island to see Victoria and the world-famous Butchart Gardens
- a trip to the Okanagan valley, famous for its vineyard and winery tours, white water rafting, and eco-tourism
- hiking the famous West Coast trail (but you’d better be fit: this is very challenging)
- whale watching
The event organizers have coordinated with a travel agent to ensure that suitable holiday offerings are identified for you, for before or after the conference. To explore your options, please contact:
